Often, we think that the “bad boy” title in the local entertainment circle solely belongs to the prominent Padilla clan. It was the veteran action star Robin Padilla who was tagged as the “Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema” due to his toughie frontage. His nephew, Daniel Padilla, also shows the same demeanor onscreen. But recently, it seems like another television personality is being hailed as one in the social media realm.
Not once, not twice, but there have been several occasions when the Kapamilya actor Diego Loyzaga proved that he’s the “Bad Boy of Philippine Social Media.” He may have a sharp tongue, making you feel a bit taken aback by his statements. But then again, if you fathom his entire perspective, all he says are true.
One instance was when Diego was rumored to be romantically involved with a woman that was not his leading lady, Sofia Andres. A barrage of queries was hurled at him, asking what his actual relationship label with the actress is. Diego said they are friends, then he spilled that Sofia is already committed to someone else.

In a more recent issue, the Kapamilya actor published a photo of him in Boracay with friends. Given that the beach has closed its doors to tourists, as per the mandate of President Rodrigo Duterte, online users accused Diego of sneaking into the spot. Instantly, the actor responded to his critics and said that it was a throwback shot.
On Twitter, the indignant Diego wrote:
“Post a photo with another woman, issue
Post a photo of a throwback, issue

He didn’t hold back to give a follow-up to his previous post, saying:
“Sick of pleasing people. Seriously #keepitreal dont give a shxt about what anyone else thinks or think they know about you. im gonna speak up bcos other artists cant dahil iniingatan ang image. Idc anymore. Sick of you ignorant people.”
