Nadine Lustre pays a visit to celebrity tattooist in California

In March of this year, Nadine Lustre talked about her tattoos for the first time onscreen during her guesting on “Tonight with Boy Abunda.” Nadine has a moon tattoo on her left wrist and a rose design on her right. Moreover, the 24-year-old actress wasn’t modest when it came to talking about one of her tats.

While touring in the U.S. with her beau James Reid, Nadine visited LA-based celebrity tattooist Romeo Lacorte for her rose tattoo upkeep. Romeo’s previous clients include Justin Bieber, members of the English band The 1975, and Swae Lee from Rae Sremmurd, just to name a few.

The “Never Not Love You” leading lady also explained the meaning behind why she chose these two particular designs as her tattoos. Apart from being her favorite flower, the rose is something that reminds her of “self-love.”

“When I look at it, it’s a reminder na, ‘Okay, Nadine, don’t forget ha, don’t forget to be good to yourself and to love yourself.'”

Nadine’s moon tattoo, on the other hand, was inspired by a line from Coldplay’s hit song, “Everglow.” She shared the part where she got the design idea from.

“There’s a line there, it says, ‘Now you might be gone, still I see you celestial.’ Moon kasi is a celestial body. If you listen to Everglow kasi, the meaning of the song or the vibe that you get from the song is that even all those people na wala na, they still give you that everglow. They still make you smile, they still make you happy kahit wala na sila.”
